Terms of Use and Directory Disclaimer

Please read this before relying on anything in the directory. It explains how listings are verified, what we are not, and how to report a problem.

Effective date: October 27, 2026

Informational nature of this directory

National Recovery Directory is an informational resource. We organize and link to recovery resources, including Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous meetings, online meetings, peer support organizations, and public resources.

We do not operate, host, moderate, or supervise any meeting. We are not a treatment provider, a medical practice, a licensed clinical service, or an emergency service. We are not an official AA or NA organization, and nothing on this site should be read as a claim of endorsement, certification, sponsorship, or affiliation with either fellowship.

Accuracy and availability of listings

Meeting schedules, locations, formats, eligibility rules, and organizational policies change frequently, and they are controlled by the groups and organizations that run them, not by us. Listings are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

Each listing states where its information came from and when we last checked it. A verification date means we confirmed the information against the named source on that date — it is not a guarantee that the meeting will take place as listed today. Always confirm the details with the organizer or the official organization before traveling.

Because of this, we do not warrant that any listing is accurate, current, complete, or available, and we are not responsible for a meeting that has moved, changed format, been cancelled, or closed.

Third-party websites

This site links to websites we do not control, including official fellowship resources, government health agencies, crisis services, and the other sites in the Find Your Recovery network. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, privacy practices, or security of any external site.

A link is provided because it may be useful, not as an endorsement of everything the destination contains. When you leave this site, the destination's own terms and privacy policy apply.

No medical advice

Nothing on this site is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and nothing here creates a clinical relationship of any kind. The educational articles are general information written for the public, not a substitute for assessment or care from a qualified professional.

Peer support meetings are not medical or psychiatric treatment. Withdrawal from alcohol, benzodiazepines, barbiturates, and some other substances can be life-threatening and requires medical supervision. Never delay or discontinue professional care because of something you read here.

No emergency service

This site is not monitored continuously and is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911. For mental health or suicide crisis support in the United States, call or text 988.

Do not use our contact form, phone number, or email address to seek emergency help.

Intellectual property

The organization, editorial content, design, and original text of National Recovery Directory are protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may link to our pages and quote brief excerpts with attribution for non-commercial purposes.

Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and other fellowship names, and the titles of their published literature, are the property of their respective organizations. Their use here is descriptive, to identify the resources we link to. We do not republish copyrighted meeting directories or literature without permission.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, National Recovery Directory and the Find Your Recovery network are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of your use of this site, your reliance on any listing or article, or your inability to use the site.

This includes, without limitation, damages related to decisions made about treatment or recovery based on information found here, or to travel undertaken to attend a listed meeting. You are responsible for confirming details and for decisions about your own health and care.

Reporting incorrect listings

If a listing is inaccurate, outdated, or misleading, please tell us. Corrections are reviewed before the directory is changed, and we remove listings we can no longer verify.

Use the resource suggestion form, which routes to our review queue, or email us directly.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the directory develops. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. The effective date below reflects the current version.
